Franklin Gun Shop

Franklin Gun Shop was founded in August 2000 by Brian Hassler and his father Jerry, a Vietnam Veteran who served in the 173d Airborne Brigade. Growing up in Franklin, Brian always had a passion for firearms, shooting, and hunting. After graduating from college and several years working in a gun store in North Carolina, Brian decided to start his own business in his native Tennessee. His brother Mike, who had assisted at the store on the weekends while attending college, joined the business full-time after about a year. After Franklin Gun Shop had been in business for over 10 years, Brian’s and Mike’s other brother Alan was finally able to join full-time as well.  What started with only 89 guns in a location in a tiny strip mall, has grown into a thriving business in our own free-standing building with the largest selection of firearms in Tennessee with over 6,000 guns in stock.  Franklin Gun Shop is also a Class III dealer (selling legal-to-own full-auto, silencers, and short-barreled weapons), offers a wide variety of gunsmithing services, and refers handgun training and permit classes to our non-affiliated partner, Franklin Gun Training Academy.
